Centrepoint

Centrepoint is one of the most popular shopping malls in orchard road and the whole of Singapore. It is infamous for its festive decorations and was even awarded a Silver nod in the Orchard Road Best Dressed Building Competition orgainised by Orchard Road Business Association in 2009. Apart from looking good, it offers many shopping selections to choose from, meeting ones fashion, grocery and reading desires. There are many shopping malls in Singapore, particularly Orchard Road and there are many other bigger and newer malls around, so why is this mall one of the best? Firstly, it is conveniently located opposite somerset MRT station so it is very easy to access. Secondly, it offers a wide selection of stores including popular fashion outlets, a supermarket, a large book store, restaurants and even money changing facilities. Lastly its merchandise are generally cheaper than nearby malls, although upholding its quality. I feel that this mall reflects a uniquely Singapore spirit. The mall has truly stood the test of time, being one of the older malls in Orchard Road but still being a popular choice for customers even after the emergence of newer malls such as ION Orchard. Much like Singapore that is able to maintain its status in the world even after 50 years. Centrepoint has continuously provide quality goods at an affordable price and at a convenient location for Singaporeans and tourists alike which is why I am grateful for its existence.
