Vivo City

This place is approximately 1,500,000 square feet, making it one of the largest shopping malls in tiny Singapore. I consider this place to be akin to a swiss army knife, in the way that they both have almost everything you could possibly need, all compacted into one. An iconic landmark offering retail and entertainment ,  designed by renowned the Japanese architect Toyo Ito, it also features an one of a kind design, setting it apart from the traditional box format of typical malls. Does this sound familiar? Well this is none other than Vivocity.

Vivocity is shown to be loved by all Singaporeans, be it young or old, having won the "AsiaOne's People's Choice Awards for best family-friendly mall" this year. With 15 cinemas, the golden village outlet here is also the largest in our tiny isle. With an extensive range of retail outlets, an outdoor playground, and not to mention unique art pieces created by international artists, namely the snowman(as pictured below) made by German artist Inges Edee.

With a playground for your little one to whirl away the hours, the rooftop water feature by the skypark which is sure to enthrall both the young and the old, or even the extensive range of retail outlets that is guaranteed to fufil your every shopping desire, and last but not least the stunning collection of artworks in Vivocity, making it an all rounded mall, simply the perfect choice to go to for all your shopping and entertainment needs, no doubt the best of its kind in Singapore.

This place embodies the Singaporean Spirit by how it strives to be an all rounded mall, like how we, as Singaporeans should too try our best to excel in all aspects.

A photo from an activity held at Vivocity a couple years back.
I am really grateful for this place as it has provided me with many opportunities to bond with my friend and family, helping me build closer ties with them. One example of this is shown in the picture on the left, taken two years back during a scavenger hunt activity with my netball team mates. This had really helped break the ice between all of us, and really brought us closer together as a team, and as friends.                                                                                                        Also, Vivocity has been a great                                                                                                              convenience for me, with                                                                                                                         everything from retail to                                                                                                                       entertainment all merged                                                                                                                       together in a perfect balance,                                                                                                                 saving me a lot of hassle. And for                                                                                                         these reasons, I am honestly                                                                                                                 really grateful for this place we                                                                                                             call "Vivocity".
