When I first visited the ArtScience Museum, I was taken away by the amazing architecture. The museum is anchored by a round base in the centre, with ten extensions which resemble the petals of a lotus flower. At the base of the museum, there is pond which is filled with lily pads and lotus flowers, which follows what the museum resembles!

To my surprise, the museum has a sustainability feature where rainwater is harvested and channeled down the center of the building, flowing through its bowl-shaped roof into a reflecting pond at the lowest level of the building. The rainwater is then recycled for use in the building's washrooms.

The museum has a permanent exhibition called "the ArtScience Gallery", which consists of three galleries- Curiosity, Inspiration, Expression. It also has touring exhibitions which have limited periods. This weekend I happened to visit the museum with my family, thus we viewed the exhibition "Annie Leibovitz A Photographer's Life 1990 - 2005" together. We were impressed by the interior of the museum as it has a very modern-feel towards it. You can also see the curved walls from the interior of the museum.
Referred to as "The Welcoming Hand of Singapore" by Las Vegas Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson, I feel that the ArtScience Museum reflects an unique Singapore Spirit as it symbolises Singapore welcoming people from all over the world to visit our island. Lastly, I'm grateful for the ArtScience Museum as it provides a platform for everyone to experience how art and science can go hand in hand in a single location. What are you waiting for? Be sure to stop by the ArtScience Museum to marvel at the architectural wonders and exhibitions it has to offer!

(Post note: I also learnt that "ArtScience" isn't actually a word xD)
