Jurong East, The new Town

Ever wished that you had never ending shops to shop at? The new and improved Jurong East is the place to go! Jurong East now has 3 shopping centres and there are more to come! The three shopping centres are Jem, WestGate and Jcube. Jurong East should be considered as Singapore's best since many tourists visit there and Jurong East is sort of in the heart of Singapore and you can reach there easily!

Jem

Jem is the first lifestyle hub in the West of Singapore where mid to mid-plus shopping meets entertainment; functionality meets experience and community culture meets city inspiration. It is Singapore's third largest suburban mall housing 241 units.

Jem has 7 levels where green spaces and rooftop garden tiered across levels 5 to 7. Jem has many major retailers such as Robinsons, H&M, Uniqlo and Mark & Spencers, it also has a movie cineplex.

Its offerings from Basement 2 to Level 5 will meet the varied needs of shoppers. They include a courtyard where alfresco dining takes place, international/high street fashion, IT and electronics stores, Isetan department store and supermarket, food court and family restaurants. There will also be a themed play area called Westgate Wonderland on Level 4, a gym with swimming pool and a childcare centre as well as Westgate’s very own Kids Club at Level 5. The mall is partly outdoors and air-conditioned.

Jcube

JCube is set to inject new excitement into the retail, dining and entertainment scene in Jurong East. JCube boasts an iconic façade inspired by an ice cube. Like an ice cube, it is designed to reflect natural light by day and sparkle by night.

The mall will be home to numerous new brands making their debut in Singapore. It will be home to Singapore’s first Olympic-size ice rink 460-seat gallery, the 60 by 30 metre rink is designed to host international events and competitions for sports like ice hockey, curling and speed skating. I am grateful for Jurong East as they have most of the shops i like to shop at town but since town is a little far from where i am living, Jurong East is the next closest thing to town! Also, all three malls are very easily accessible since they are near to Jurong East MRT Station and bus interchange. Jem and WestGate are connected to the MRT station while Jcube is just opposite of the MRT station.

So what are you waiting for? Visit Jurong East for the best shopping experience of your life!
