Singapore Botanic Gardens

If you are looking for somewhere nice and tranquil to relax in, look no further. The Singapore Botanic Gardens is the place for you! The current Gardens was established in 1859, when the colonial e government exchanged lad at Boat Quay for land in Tanglin. Despite being over a hundred years old, the Gardens continue to follow about the same layout today as when it was founded.

Today, the Gardens boasts many attractions. For example, the National Orchid Garden. This garden houses over a thousand species of orchid, and over two thousand hybrids. Sounds interesting? Well, obviously, the Gardens has more to offer than just that. You can visit the following areas: the Rainforest, the Evolution Garden, Jacob Ballas Children's Garden and many other places. There are too many attractions to elaborate about in this article. So, why not go find out for yourself? Plus, entry to most attractions there is free!

In my opinion, I feel that the Gardens is very representative of Singapore's heritage. It most definitely enhances Singapore's reputation of being a 'Garden City', as its boasts so many local and international plant species. It also has been a part of Singapore since a long time ago, so both locals and tourists can learn about the history of Singapore from visiting the Gardens.

So therefore, I urge all visitors to Singapore to give the Gardens a visit, so as to have an enriching experience, and to learn more about Singapore.
